Wildheart Learning is a learner-driven school in Black Forest, Colorado. We partner with families to provide individualized, nature-rich education rooted in curiosity, creativity, compassion, courage, character, and community.
We operate as a homeschool enrichment program, working alongside families to support each child’s academic and personal growth.

Wildheart Learning serves elementary students (K–6). Our small learning environment allows us to tailor instruction to each child’s pace, strengths, and developmental needs.

No. Wildheart Learning operates as a homeschool enrichment program. Families maintain their homeschool status in accordance with Colorado law while partnering with us for structured, in-person instruction and community-based learning.
We contract with a Colorado-licensed K–6 Teacher of Record to provide oversight and consultation.

Time outdoors is an essential part of our daily rhythm. Students regularly explore, observe, create, and learn in the natural environment of Black Forest. On average, students spend 1-2 hours outdoors every day.

Focused academic instruction

Creative and collaborative work
We balance structure with flexibility to meet students where they are.

We cover writing, literature, science with weekly labs, history, math circle, and a learner-driven enrichment block called Explorations (such as PE, art, etc).

We meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-3pm. There are optional family field trips and/or community service days scheduled on our off-days so that everyone in the family can join in. These occur at least once per semester.

Family partnership is foundational at Wildheart Learning. We value open communication, shared responsibility, and mutual trust. Education is strongest when families and educators work together to support each child’s growth.

Yes. We intentionally design our program to honor individual strengths, pacing, and interests. Our small environment allows us to adapt instruction and support students in meaningful ways.
